Car Buying Advisor ("the app") helps you decide between buying a new or used car. This policy explains what information the app uses and your choices. The app is for people worldwide and is not directed at children.

1. Information that stays on your device

The app works without an account. Your quiz answers, the cars you enter, your checklist progress, your report, and the region or currency you choose are stored only on your device. We do not receive this information. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it.

To pick a sensible currency and units, the app reads your device region and the country code of your SIM card. This is used only on your device and is not sent anywhere. You can change the region at any time on the Home screen.

2. Information collected by third-party services

To show the rewarded ad that unlocks the full report, and to understand how the app is used, the app includes Google services:

• Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) shows ads. It may collect your IP address (which can indicate your general location), device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information, to deliver, measure and secure ads and prevent fraud.
• Firebase Analytics (Google) collects app usage events (such as screens viewed, quiz started or completed, report unlocked, tools opened), device information and an app instance identifier, to help us improve the app.

We do not receive your name, email address or precise location, and we do not run our own servers that store personal data about you.

3. Consent and your choices

• Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: the app asks for your consent before ads are requested and before analytics is turned on, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices on the Home screen.
• Everyone: you can reset or delete your Android advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings (usually Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Google settings).
• If you decline, the app's quiz and basic report still work. The full report is unlocked by watching an ad, so it may be unavailable if ads cannot be shown.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

We rely on your consent for ad personalization, advertising identifiers and analytics. Google may also process limited data to deliver non-personalized ads and prevent fraud, based on legitimate interests.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data collected by the ad and analytics services above is shared with Google as described in section 2. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. International transfers

Google may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under its own safeguards.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we hold no account or server-side profile about you, the main controls are in sections 1 and 3 and in your Google account settings (https://myaccount.google.com). 8. Data security and retention

Data in transit to Google services is encrypted. Data on your device is protected by your device's security. Google retains ad and analytics data under its own retention settings.

9. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us.

10. Estimates and advice

Loan, insurance and resale figures in the app are rough estimates from fixed formulas and are not quotes, valuations or financial advice.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be reflected in the app listing or the app.
